Advent takes us on a journey to discover Emmanuel, God-with-us. Through the Incarnation, God has chosen to break into the human experience, dwelling with us now as the Body of Christ. How will we awaken to God being one with us? And in what ways might we be transformed?
Join us for an afternoon of reflection on Saturday, December 14, 1:00 to 3:45pm at Our Lady’s Lower Hall. We will be led by Claire Schaeffer-Duffy. With her husband, Scott, she founded the Sts. Francis and Therese Catholic Worker, which has worked for peace and justice and offered hospitality to Worcester’s homeless for nearly forty years. Claire is also the program director of the Center for Nonviolent Solutions in Worcester, and a free-lance journalist. RSVP via email [email protected] or call Sioux Mont at 617-969 -2248, ext. 110, by Monday, December 9. Please provide the full names of all those attending, along with an email and phone number for contact purposes. Adults 18+ welcome. Light refreshments will be served. Sponsored by SHOL Newton Pax Christi.
