The Guild of St. Francis fosters religious and social activities for the women who constitute its membership. Our Guild annually conducts many programs for the financial and social benefit of Sacred Heart Parish, such as the Holly Harvest Fair, Family Night, and Bake and Bloom sales. It offers an annual Day of Recollection and a Communion Breakfast for the spiritual needs of its members. Helpers are always needed for these events to be successful. Time commitment is variable depending upon the event. New members are always welcome!
The Guild also holds weekly workshops on Tuesday evenings at 7 pm beginning after Labor Day to prepare arts and crafts for the Holly Harvest Fair in November. If you are artistic or have a special talent and are interested in participating in the workshops, regardless of whether or not you wish to become a Guild member, please contact guildofstfrancisnewtonma@gmail.com.

Wonderful Time Had By All Attendees of Guild Tea Party!!
The fancy tea cups, fancy sandwiches, tiny scones, and fruit tarts and cheesecakes made the afternoon a success!
But the children gave us the greatest delight. From their fancy outfits, their willingness to try new sandwiches, ability to decorate cupcakes, string necklaces and get their nails manicured!
Our most fun was in watching how happy they were with the dress up hats and jewels AND especially their joy in dressing Our Lady of the Tea Party so she could attend the event. We even prayed the Hail Mary and hoped she enjoyed our great fun dressing up her statue!
You parents of these young ladies are doing such a good job; so many of them were so helpful to each other and especially helpful to the Guild members as we set up and even cleaned up. It is a great young generation of ladies!
The Knights of Columbus is a well-known fraternal organization of Catholic men, international in scope. The Crozier Council, which meets at Sacred Heart, draws its members from both Sacred Heart and Mary Immaculate of Lourdes parishes; we welcome new members. Locally and nationally, we do wonderful things for the work of the Church. Meetings are held on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month at 7:30 pm in the Sacred Heart Convent Dining Room. The Knights of Columbus' website is www.kofc.org
